The ingredients needed to prepare Stuffed Cabbage:
  1. Use 500 g lean mince
  2. Provide 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  3. Provide 1 teaspoon salt
  4. Use 1 teaspoon pepper
  5. Take 50 g brown rice uncooked
  6. Use 8 cabbage leaves
  7. Prepare 1 can chopped tomatoes
  8. Provide 1 egg
Instructions to make Stuffed Cabbage:
  1. Place cabbage leaves in a pan of boiling water. Remove the pan from the heat. This takes about 5 mins to soften the leaves
  2. When done drain and cool in cold water until needed
  3. In a bowl. Add the uncooked rice, mince, egg, salt, pepper and cinnamon and mix
  4. Grab a handful of the mince mix and make a firm ball, place on one of the cooled cabbage leaves
  5. Wrap the mince in the leaf. Use a second leaf if required and fix with a wooden skewer
  6. Repeat the above until all the mix has gone. Place cabbage wraps in a slow cooker
  7. Cover with the tinned tomatoes and cook for 5 to 6 hours on low
  8. I served mine with pasta but I think mashed potato would also have worked
