  2. Use 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  3. Provide 2 tbsp tomato paste
  4. Provide 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  6. Get 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  7. Use 4 clove of garlic, minced
  8. Provide 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  9. You need 1 tsp dried oregano

  11. Provide 1/4 can of water, use crushed tomato can
  12. Provide 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Instructions to make My homemade pasta sauce:
  1. In large pot heat oil.
  2. Add anchovy and cook until it disappears. It will break down.
  3. Add garlic and pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute.
  4. Add in paste and stir, cooking for 2 minutes.
  5. Add in crushed tomatoes, water, and spices.
  6. Bring to a low boil, then immediately turn to simmer.
  7. Stir and cover, cook on simmer for two hours.
  8. Check and stir every 20 minutes.
  9. Last, stir in parmesan right before serving.
  10. Serve over pasta and enjoy
  11. Sauce is enough for 1 lb of pasta.
  12. NOTE……You can make this into a meat sauce by adding 1 lb. very lean ground beef to the cooked paste. Then add in meat, brown, add crushed tomatoes and follow the rest!!! My husband is a meat lover!
