The ingredients needed to cook Puerco empanizado:
- Provide Pork
- Get Sazon completa
- Provide Salt
- Use Lime
- Provide Garlic
- Provide Eggs
- Take Galleta Molida or cracker meal
- Provide Oil
Instructions to make Puerco empanizado:
- Wash pork and dry with paper
- Sprinkle with sazon completa and salt
- Wisk eggs with some salt in a bowl and have a plate with the corn meal, set aside
- With a mortar and pestle, smash some garlic and add limes and salt add some more Adobo completa if you'd like
- Throw mixture on pork
- Pass each pork through cracker, then egg then bread again, until fully coated
- Heat up oil, I use corn oil but you can use whatever oil you want, fry the pork, take your time, cook in medium low heat, low heat depending on how thick your pork is
- Pork is one of those things that you need to cook throughly, when you feel like it's ready you can cut through the middle just a bit to see how pink the meat is. You want it white.
- You can eat this with whatever sides you're craving, I'm making it with white rice and avocado salad. You can prep your sides while it's frying.
- Make sure you cook it on low because if not the outside cooks faster than the inside and the breading burns.
- Some people like using bread crumbs but this is what I find happens when you use breadcrumbs which is why I use cracker meal, the bread crumbs detatch from the pork and burn faster.
- For the avocado salad just add salt, apple cider vinegar and olive oil!!
