  18. Use 1 tsp cornflour dissolves in 1tbsp water

Instructions to make Aloo chana masala:
  1. In a pan heat oil, fry the onions. Add in whole red buttons and cumin seeds.
  2. Add in chopped tomatoes,red chilli powder, turmeric powder, crushed red pepper and cumin powder. Bhuno well.
  3. Add in boiled chickpeas and potatoes. Add 2 cups water and cook for 25 minutes.
  4. Add tamarind pulp, dissolves cornflour and mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook till gravy thick.
  5. In another pan heat 2tbsp ghee add in paprika powder and remove from heat. Pour this ghee on aloo chana masala. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Aloo chana masala is ready. Serve with puri.
