The ingredients needed to make Whosayna’s Chana Masala/Bateta:
- Use 2 cups Black Chana (whole Gram)
- Take 5 Potatoes
- Provide 6 Tomatoes (chopped)
- Take 1 tsp Rai (Mustard seeds)
- Take 1-2 sprigs Curry leaves
- Provide 1-2 Imli (whole Tamarind)
- Provide 2 tsp Chilli powder
- Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 tbsp Garlic (pounded)

- Provide 3 tbsp Tomato puree

Instructions to make Whosayna’s Chana Masala/Bateta:
- Soak chana overnight then boil in salt and water till tender.
- Boil potatoes with skin then peel the skin and cut in cubes.
- Take a pot put four tablespoon of oil keep on flame add garlic, curry leaves and mustard seeds let it splutter.
- Add tomatoes, salt and spices saute till paste-like, add tamarind, tomato puree, lemon juice and mix well.
- Add chana with it's water in which it was boiled, just one cup.
- Also, add potatoes cook till gravy bubbles.
- Remove from flame garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Serve with daal bhajias, chopped Onions and Coconut Chutney with chevda or just have plain choice is yours
