- Provide 1 cup flour
- Use 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- Step 2 - mix magarine and shortening
- Step 3 - Add brown and white sugar to step 2 and mix well
- Step 4 - Add vanilla essence, an egg and milk to step 3 and mix well
- Step 5- mix step 4 and 1 well the add oats and mix well
- Step 6 - Chill for two hours
- Step 7 - scoop small quantities on a baking sheet/ tray - do not apply any butter or flour on the tray
- Bake for 12- 15 mins on 190°c
