The ingredients needed to cook Perfect Crockpot Roast:
  1. You need 3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  2. Take 1 salt
  3. Get 1 ground black pepper
  4. Take 3 clove garlic
  5. You need 1 small onion, chopped
  6. Take 2 tbsp olive oil
  7. Use 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  8. You need 1 packages brown gravy mix
  9. Take 1 box beef stock
  10. Use 2 bay leaf
  11. You need 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions to make Perfect Crockpot Roast:
  1. Chop garlic cloves and onion, place in bowl. Optional: cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight so their ready for the morning.
  2. Trim fat from roast. Salt and pepper both sides generously. Optional: place in zip lock bag and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, put onions and garlic in. Stir occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, take roast out and cover with all purpose flour.
  5. When onions and garlic are soft, place floured roast in pan and brown all sides.
  6. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl/cup whisk together beef stock and brown gravy mix. Pour about 1/2 inch of liquid into Crockpot.
  7. Once roast is browned on all sides add it and the onion/garlic mix to the crockpot
  8. Pour gravy/stock mix on top and add all remaining ingredients to crockpot. Mix together and try to cover as much of the roast as possible.
