The ingredients needed to make Philly Cheesesteak Brats:
  1. Use 4 fresh made brats
  2. Take 1/2 cup water
  3. Prepare 2 tbs butter
  4. You need 1 large green bell pepper - chopped
  5. Prepare 1 medium yellow onion - chopped
  6. You need 4 brat buns or hoagie rolls
  7. Prepare Sliced American cheese and/or your favorite cheese sauce
Steps to make Philly Cheesesteak Brats:
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot add about 1 tbs oil and swirl to coat.
  2. Add brats Sear to brown on both sides. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until cooked through. Ours took about 15 minutes, but they were huge specialty brats from our local grocer.
